Our Beaches are #1

Along the coast of Siesta Key are miles of white quartz sand beaches.  Although the majority of the beach is in private hands, the majority of the condo associations with beaches have not prohibited the public from using their beaches.  Siesta Key’s public beaches include the main well known beach, Siesta Key Public Beach, Crescent Beach (just south of the public beach) and Turtle Beach.  There are also 12 public accesses to small portions of beach owned by Sarasota County.  Siesta Key Public Beach and Beach Accesses 1-11 are located along Beach Road.  Crescent, Turtle and Beach Access 12 are located along Midnight Pass Road.

Main Beach Location:

Siesta Key Public Beach: 948 Beach Road

Siesta Key Public Beach is the most well known of all Siesta’s beaches; winning awards from Trip Advisor and other websites.  It contains the softest, white powdery sand that is comprised of 99% pure quartz.  This sand never gets hot!  It’s cool to the touch.

Siesta Key beach has a public tennis court near the parking lot and volleyball courts which has been used for collegiate and high school tournaments.  The shaded playground is the shape of a large beach pail and shovel.  The concession stands are convenient for a quick bite with a deck 16 feet above the ground that provides spectacular opportunities to catch the sunset while having a refreshing drink.

On Sundays at dusk, locals and visitors gather at the Drum Circle to enjoy the music and maybe dance to the drums
